BELLAGIO’S FALL DISPLAY COMES ALIVE WITH TALKING TREE, FROLICKING FOXES

Persephone, the Goddess of Spring in Greek mythology, is catching a nap before sampling Las Vegas nightlife.

A massive floral display depicting Persephone, the Goddess of Spring in Greek mythology, is the central figure in fall display at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

But she has some cool company: massive tigers, a frolicking fox family, and a 28-foot talking tree. The “Falling Asleep” theme refers to the transition from summer to autumn.

The magnitude of scale is awe inspiring. Persephone has 38-foot wings and a gown made of roses, hydrangeas and oak leaves. There’s animation at every turn: One tiger has a twitching tail, the other slowly moves his head from side to side. A playful fox toys with a giant acorn while a dragon fly hovers near the talking tree.

You can catch it until November 25, when it switches to a winter theme.

Diners at Lago (Bellagio) got a spectacular bonus on Friday — a mini rainbow.
