“Well, after giving retirement a try...I've decided I gotta keep doing what I love”

With those words back on Dec. 23, 2016, I launched a new website after a brief stay on the sidelines due to some medical issues.

Once I got my feet back under me, there was no doubt about what I needed to do. After covering Las Vegas for nearly 20 years, I couldn’t walk away. There’s nothing quite like the Las Vegas scene so I’ve added more elements to the web site as the city transitions into an even more vibrant place to live and visit.

The new and improved Norm.Vegas will continue to cover the entertainment, celebrity and culinary scene, but the new site will make it easier for me to add sports and my side projects...the two books I’m working on. One is an update of “High Hard Ones,” written in 1993 which chronicled the birth of the Colorado Rockies for the Rocky Mountain News. This being the 25th anniversary, I’ve updated the Epilogue with dozens of figures who had instrumental roles in the franchise’s rich history.

Later this year, I’ll release my autobiography, “Power of the Patch”, an improbable journalism journey based around the inspirational people and events in my life.
